Celebrating the Women of SCR Recruitment International Women’s Day 2026

At SCR, International Women’s Day is more than just a date on the calendar; it’s an opportunity to pause and celebrate the incredible women who drive our success. From smashing targets at their desks to making a profound impact in the community, the women in our office are the heartbeat of this company.

Here is a look at the achievements of our team, both inside and outside the workplace.

The West Midlands Powerhouses: Demi & Abbie B

Our West Midlands desk is thriving thanks to the dedication of these two professionals.

  • Demi: We are thrilled to announce that Demi passed her probation today! She has become an indispensable part of the team, proving her productivity by creating seven Schedule 2 profiles in a single week. Beyond her professional consistency, Demi balances her career while being an amazing single mother to two children.
  • Abbie Bates: Abbie is a force of nature in recruitment, consistently placing candidates and securing two “temp-to-perm” offers in one week alone. Even while preparing for her upcoming maternity leave, she continues to support other desks whenever they are overwhelmed. We will miss her dearly but couldn’t be happier for her new chapter!

Community & Wellness: Bobbie

Bobbie, one of our expert recruitment consultants, is making waves outside the office through her passion for wellness.

  • Her Space Wellness: Bobbie hosts wellness sessions in Leicestershire, fostering friendship and mental health through Pilates, affirmations, and manifestation. You can follow her journey or get involved at @her.space.wellness.
  • Global Impact: Bobbie also supports the African Dream Village charity, sponsoring a four-year-old boy to ensure he receives an education and daily meals.

Fresh Perspectives: Halle & Lauren

Growth and transition are themes we love to celebrate, and these two have stepped into their roles with incredible grace.

  • Halle: Joining us from a seven-year career in dentistry, Halle has mastered her role on the East of England Desk in just three months. She has been vital during busy periods, assisting with registrations and sourcing for the East Midlands.
  • Lauren: Our new Payroll and Compliance Administrator, Lauren, transitioned from customer service and a degree in Criminology and Psychology. Despite having no prior payroll experience, she has excelled in her first four months, proving that determination is the key to success.

The Pillars of the Office: Arti & Shannon

Every great office needs a foundation of support and organization.

  • Arti: As our Office Manager for over 11 years, Arti is central to the employee experience. Her knowledge and skills as the Office Manager keep the office ticking over and everyone knows they can depend on her and her knowledge.
  • Shannon: Our Accounts Administrator, Shannon, is the person we all rely on. From payroll to invoicing, her consistency and reliability make her a “back office” hero.

Driving Success Across the Regions

  • Tammy (North Desk): Known for her fierce independence, Tammy is our “temp-to-perm” specialist, once placing four candidates across multiple desks in a single week.
  • Abbie Munden (South East): In just six months of opening her desk, Abbie has doubled her margin and secured placements across a variety of homes.
  • Joanna (East Midlands): Having started as an apprentice, Joanna is now the “rock” of her desk. Her journey to graduation and her ability to support the South East desk with placements is truly applaudable.
  • Ellie: With three years at the company, Ellie is a trusted veteran who recently successfully placed a Deputy Manager recently – a testament to her tenacity and skill.

Happy International Women’s Day!

To all the strong, independent, and amazing women in our office: thank you. We wouldn’t be where we are today without your talent, your empathy, and your hard work.
