Our Schedule 2 Compliance & Screening Standards
At Social Care Recruitment, we prioritise safety above all else. Specifically, we ensure every agency worker meets the strict requirements of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015. Our 20-year history in the Midlands has taught us that high-quality care starts with rigorous screening.
Why Our Screening Process is Different
Many agencies provide general staff, but we focus on specialised children’s residential support. Consequently, our compliance team conducts deep-dive checks that exceed standard recruitment practices. We maintain “Audit-Ready” files for every professional on our books to support your Ofsted inspection readiness.
The Core Elements of Our Safeguarding Checks
We follow a structured framework to guarantee the safety and wellbeing of the young people in your care. In addition to standard checks, we perform the following:
- Full Career History & Gap Analysis: We document every month of a candidate’s career. Furthermore, we investigate and record any breaks in employment to satisfy Schedule 2 standards.
- Enhanced DBS Monitoring: We verify all Disclosure and Barring Service certificates.
- Verified Professional References: We contact previous employers directly. Specifically, we seek references that confirm the candidate’s suitability for working with vulnerable children.
- Identity & Right to Work Verification: We perform strict identity checks using original documentation. As a result, you can be certain that every worker is legally cleared to practice in the UK.
- Qualification Audits: Our staff have all the training required to work in the sector required and our compliance team keep their training up to date
Partnership & Audit Support
We understand the pressure of regulatory inspections. Therefore, we offer full transparency to our clients. We will provide a full Schedule 2 digital profile for all our staff for you to keep on record in your home for your own records and any Ofsted inspections.
