Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Staffordshire. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Your primary focus will be achieving and maintaining an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating while creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Ofsted Compliance: Act as the Registered Manager in line with Ofsted requirements and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Service Quality: Ensure the home meets all Quality Standards, focusing on the safety and wellbeing of all residents.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, supervise, and develop a high-performing care team, fostering a culture of professional curiosity and child-centered care.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the home’s budget effectively while ensuring resources are allocated to improve outcomes for young people.
- Safeguarding: Act as the lead for Safeguarding and Child Protection, working closely with local authorities and multi-agency partners
To be considered for the role you will have:
- 2 Years management experience within young people’s services
- An established record of consistently achieving Good/Outstanding ratings from Ofsted
- Have completed the RMA / NVQ 4 in Leadership + Management / ILM Level 5
- Excellent working knowledge of children’s homes national minimum standards and the Children’s Act 2010
