Registered Manager – Children’s Services
Sheffield
£50,000 – £70,000 per annum. (Dependent on Experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Dual Registered Manager to oversee two OFSTED-registered Children’s Homes in Sheffield. This role will involve managing one 2-bedroom home and one 1-bedroom home, supporting children with a range of emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD) and learning difficulties (LD). You will ensure that both homes meet the highest standards of care and comply with OFSTED regulations, while creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for the young residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of both homes.
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of dedicated care staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and OFSTED requirements.
- Provide leadership and motivation to a team of care professionals, ensuring staff development and retention.
- Engage with external professionals, families, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the children.
- Work closely with senior management to ensure the homes are efficiently run, budgeted, and resourced.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Proven experience working within a Children’s Home, ideally in a managerial role.
- Qualifications: Must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Commitment: A dedicated professional with a genuine passion for improving the lives of young people with EBD and LD.
- Long-Term Commitment: We are seeking someone who is ready to make a long-term impact and grow with our organisation.
- Desirable: Experience in managing mixed residential services and an understanding of OFSTED inspection processes.
